Silver Lake, is a fun lake at the very top of Big Cottonwood Canyon. It has a boardwalk surrounding the lake engulfed with endless shading of trees, and pretty greenery during the right time of year. This place is definitely best during spring and summer, and a little bit of fall as well. Silver Lake is great for family portraits, bridal portraits, and even couple portraits as well. Word of caution this place is not dog friendly, for it resides in Big Cottonwood Canyon.
